About us
Dear Erasmus student of VIVES, Kortrijk,

We are three Erasmus students Moa, Lea and Feiyan from Sweden, Germany and China. We felt really luck to have the opportunity to become members of VIVES - F.L.O.W.S, and contribute to this website which is created for Erasmus students who are coming to Kortrijk.
Here you can find information about Belgium in general, such as, politics, geography, climate, cultural embeddedness, student life in Kortrijk, etc, in order to well prepare your departure before this exciting experience. There are also tips from locals and suggestions for travelling around Belgium, including Kortrijk, other popular cities such as Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, as well as infamous but interesting places such as Leuven, Mechelen, Nieuwpoort, Ypres, etc.

Our logo is designed around the idea that students could DIVE INTO the history, culture,
traditions and modern charm of Belgium, an open-minded and welcoming land which hosts
and welcomes people from all over the world,

We wish you a very lovely Erasmus, and hope you find this website helpful.

Best wishes,

Moa, Lea and Feiyan

Hi, my name is Moa. I am 23 years old and was born and raised in Eskilstuna, in Sweden.

In Sweden, I study sociology and social psychology at Karlstad University. I am learning to understand why society looks the way it does and how we humans affect each other. In the future, I want to work with societal development and to reduce the injustices in society.
Having followed the F.L.O.W.S program has been very instructive for me. Previously, I have thought that I want to work with women's rights and the environmental issue, but during the autumn I have gained a new interest in health and well-being. The F.L.O.W.S program has therefore given me the opportunity to find other interesting topics that I could imagine working with in the future.

Hi, my name is Lea.
I am 23 years old and was born and grew up in Duisburg, the west part of Germany.

I am studying to become an international primary school teacher who encourages her students to follow their dreams and goals and live in this world with empathy towards themselves and others.

I believe that communication is the tool to creating a more understanding and safer world for all of us and this is exactly what I experienced at VIVES. The teachers were very supportive throughout the minor and their passion for teaching and learning was evident at all times.

Hi everyone,

I am Feiyan from Shanghai, China. I aim to become a life-long learner and a competent primary school teacher.

The experience in F.L.O.W.S programme provided me a platform to DIVE INTO the importance of health and well-being, sustainable development, and relations to my future career.

With the support of kind, welcoming and approachable teachers, I enjoyed my Erasmus a lot, even with distance learning during this pandemic.
